So, how can you make your money by investing in Treasury Bills?

Simple, all the Treasury Bills are offered at a discounted price. For instance, once you invest in a 182-day Treasury Bill, you get it at a lower value than its face value, yet at maturity, you are paid its full face value.

You are probably wondering; what is the minimum amount needed to purchase a Treasury Bill? The minimum amount of money you can spend in purchasing a Treasury Bill is ksh100,000.

What Are Treasury Bonds?

Unlike the Treasury bills, bonds are medium to long-term investments, with a maturity period ranging from one year to 30 years. Usually, you will receive interest from your investment throughout the specified period, after which you will get your invested amount in the bond’s face value.

You will need a minimum of kshs50,000 to purchase a Treasury bond in Kenya.
