Fuel Prices Depends on Several Factors, CS Kuria

1 min read

Barely a week after the rise in fuel prices in Kenya, the Trade and Investments Cabinet Secretary (CS) Moses Kuria, has made remarks on the fuel prices causing a huge stir on social media. According to Kuria’s statement, fuel stocks scheduled for August will not be available until October, and similarly, stocks expected in September will be delayed until November. With this reference, the delays in the supply chain will have significant impact on the pricing and availability of fuels.

He also emphasized that the costs associated with these fuel stocks are known and are based on scientific data, suggesting that pricing is determined through established methods and calculations rather than being arbitrary.

“As Minister responsible for the Private Sector, my role is to advise businesses based on science, not truthful voodoo,” Kuria stated.
